Centre for Professional Development
Professional Development sits at the core legal practice and what it means to be a professional.
Recent changes to professional development requirements in the Legal Profession Act (2006) now mean that all holders of practicing certificates must complete units of continuous learning.
In our recruitment work we have often seen that staff aspiring for more senior roles in their organisations need to learn to think about practice and practice devlopment more broadrly and in a more strategic light.
In response, Gillian Beaumont Legal establised the Centre for Professional Development in 2011 to assist lawyers to build their professional capacity. Starting on 1 July 2011, the Centre will be runnng short courses and structured programs in personal and professional development.
