Professional development
Gillian Beaumont Legal recognises that professional development sits at the core of successful legal practice. Recent changes to the Legal Profession Act require that ACT lawyers undertake mandatory continuing professional development units to maintain their practising certificate. In our recruitment work, we have observed that lawyers aspiring for more senior roles are required to learn to think about strategic practice development and engage in leadership.
The Gillian Beaumont Legal Centre for Professional Development was developed in 2011 with these conditions in mind and makes use of our extensive knowledge of ACT legal profession to deliver professional development opportunities for lawyers. Legal organisations and legal teams are invited to participate in professional development programs and research projects offered by the centre.
